New Bottled Beer From Engrained- Just in Time for the Holidays!
December 1, 2017
We're thrilled to announce that our Buy Fresh Buy Local Member, Engrained Brewery & Restaurant, is now offering bottled beer! We're so proud of their achievements and we can't wait to pick up a six pack for holiday festivities. They'll be available for purchase at their restaurant, or stop by the Springfield Holiday Farmers Market on December 16th to sip and sample their brews while you shop. A 6 pack of craft brew (many are made with local Illinois hops!) makes the the perfect holiday gift or stocking stuffer. Check out their press release below for more details.
Engrained Brewery & Restaurant has launched a bottled beer line, which is available to buy at the restaurant, in a six-pack. Engrained is a family-owned restaurant and brewery with a commitment to supporting local farms and businesses. It was opened by Brent and Melissa Schwoerer in 2013. Demand for their popular craft beer, brewed onsite by brewmaster Brent, has lead to the new bottling program, which includes Blackberry Lager, German Lager, Hefeweizen, India Pale Ale, Irish Red Ale, Oatmeal Stout and a changing Seasonal brew.
“At Engrained we are constantly evolving and offering more value for our guests, and bottling gives them the versatility they have asked for,” said Brent. Engrained beer was previously available to take away in a growler, but this has a more limited shelf life. “Bottled beer stays fresh longer, which is perfect for sharing with friends and family during the holidays,” said Brent.
Typically, 10-to-12 Engrained beers are available on tap at the restaurant. Six styles are offered year round, with regularly updated seasonal styles, many using Illinois hops. In addition to a microbrewery, Engrained is a full-service farm to table restaurant. The seasonal menu uses beef, pork, cheese, chicken and eggs from Central Illinois farmers, and features traditional American family-style food such as Black Angus burgers, steaks, salads, and flatbreads.
“We believe in supporting the community we live in and that means sourcing as many of our ingredients as possible from local family farms,” said Melissa, a Springfield native. “Springfield is our home, and we want to see it grow and thrive so that our children can have a future here. This is a special place where people know and care about each other, and we are fortunate to have the support of our community.”
Engrained opens for lunch and dinner daily and has a large private event space for parties, meetings, and gatherings. For more information about Engrained Brewery & Restaurant visit their website.
