Celebrate the Kick-off of National Farmers Market Week on Sunday, August 2nd, by being a farmer for a day at Choice Roots Farm in Sherman.

What is a Crop Mob?

A Crop Mob is a large mob of people who rally together for one day to help out a small farmer. Farming can be labor intensive, and at this time of year, a few extra hands on deck can mean a world of difference. For this Crop Mob we'll be helping out Farmer Kyle, a beginning farmer in Sherman, IL, just outside of Springfield. Many hands make light work!

What are the chores?

Crop mobbers will enjoy community and comraderie while weeding, harvesting, and attending to various other small projects on the farm.

When is it?

Sunday, August 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one hour break for a locally source lunch, provided FREE of charge from Lincoln Land Community College

Where is it?

Choice Roots Farm at 3989 Sherman Road, Sherman, IL 62684.
