Community Supported Agriculture, or CSAs, are a great way to support your local farmer and get your fill of farm-fresh produce. Buy a "share" in a local farm at the beginning of the season to help farmers cover the up-front cost of seeds and equipment, and get a "share" of the harvest on a set schedule throughout the season. It's win-win! And it's never too early to start thinking about signing up for a CSA for 2018. Often times openings and availability go fast. In fact, National CSA SignUp Day is February 23rd. Description: We grow over 40 different types of vegetables and fruits. Fruits include strawberries, rhubarb, red and black raspberries, gooseberries, black currants, blackberries, blueberries, up to 20 varieties of apples, and up to 6 varieties of pears. We "specialize" in cherry/salad tomatoes, and grow up to 32 varieties in different shapes, sizes, colors, and flavors, most of them heirlooms and a choice few modern hybrids. We also grow a few different varieties of slicing tomatoes and paste tomatoes as well as several varieties of peppers. The complete growing list can be found on our website. Our CSA runs from the last week in May to the first week in November (the "official" season). After the main season is done, we offer members a chance to continue getting goodies in a week-by-week, cash-n-carry post-season. Anyone can join the post-season which usually runs through February. Pick up is at my house in Champaign on 611 W. Union St.
Cost: $500 for a 24-week "official" season.

Description: Cook Farm is a sustainable, small-scale vegetable farm located in Bloomington. As a CSA member, you can expect to receive freshly-picked, locally grown produce that's good for you and good for the earth for the duration of the farming season. Our CSA is 25 weeks long, and each weekly share includes 6-10 different items depending on the time of year. Usually spring shares are lighter, summer harvests heavier, and fall is abundant.
Cost: A full share costs $500/season (or $20 per week) for new members and $450/season for returning members. We also offer half-shares! You can reserve your share for next season with a $100 deposit, the balance due at the first pick-up in May. Each week we strive to exceed the cost of the share and provide bountiful harvests of good variety as gratitude for your support.

We are a small family owned/operated farmstead, growing and harvesting an abundant of healthy foods. We raise chickens for meat and eggs, beef cattle, goats for milk and meat and grow a full variety of seasonal produce, trees, fruit, berries, melons, flowers, grasses, nuts and herbs. Our CSA runs from May – October. Pickup is on Wednesdays at our farm just 3 miles west of Bloomington, IL or at the Downtown Bloomington Farmer’s Market Saturday mornings. We are a family farmstead using all natural methods of growing including USDA Organic standards, Humane Animal Welfare treatment and Certified Naturally Grown practices (not certified). We offer a produce option, which typically includes herbs, fruit and berries, as well as meat and eggs.

Produce - $416.00 /26 pickups. This share will consist of 5 to 6 seasonally available produce items, like herbs, radishes, onions, sugar snap peas, lettuce, bok choi, swiss chard, green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, okra, squash, zucchini, melons, pumpkins, sweet corn, apples, pears, cherries, blackberries, strawberries, etc.
Chicken & Eggs - $520.00 /26 pickups. A whole or cut up chicken averaging 3 pounds and a dozen eggs for 26 weeks.
Beef & Eggs – $520.00 /26 pickups. Two (2) pounds of ground beef and a dozen eggs for 26 weeks.Chicken, Beef & Eggs - $910.00 /26 pickups. A whole or cut up chicken averaging 3 pounds and 2 pounds of ground beef and a dozen eggs for 26 weeks.
FRESH FLORIDA SEAFOOD CSA. We travel to Florida once a month and pickup fresh seafood as an option for monthly pickup on our farm as well. Shrimp, fish, oysters, scallops, and more!

Sola Gratia Farm is a community-based farm dedicated to producing locally-grown, high-quality, natural produce. Started by St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Faith in Place in 2012, this four-acre community farm is committed to helping those who lack adequate food resources. Sola Gratia Farm donates at least 10 percent of its produce to the Eastern Illinois Foodbank and other hunger abatement programs in East Central Illinois, such as the TIMES Center. Spurgeon Veggies is a small, diversified, woman-owned, family farm operation that has been serving Galesburg for the last 10 years. Eloise Spurgeon began the operation in 2007 and brought on her daughter-in-law Dusty in 2010. The pair make environmentally conscious land management a priority– leaving nearly 50 acres of their farm in original hardwood trees to provide habitat for native wildlife and using organic practices to raise their produce.Between the two farms, Spurgeon Veggies grows nearly every vegetable possible for Illinois and cares for over a hundred laying hens. CSA Pick up locations at Willow City Farmstand, 731 South Durkin and Copper Pot Cooking Studio, Springfield. Each membership period is three months long. Feel free to join in the middle of a membership period for a prorated fee. Available 3-Month Sessions: February to April, May to July, August to October, November to January. Every box gets basic seasonal cuts of pastured beef, free range chicken & pastured pork. CSA members can fill the rest of their box with their "choice" of selected available products.

We are a fourth-generation family farm, located near Virginia, Illinois, raising pastured pork, grass fed only beef, pasture raised chickens for eggs and meat, and honey. We provide our customers with high quality meat and eggs that are healthy and nutritious. New for 2017 - red wattle pork. We also grow a large variety of produce using only organic methods. All products are available from our on-farm store or at farmers markets in downtown Springfield, at the state fairgrounds, Jacksonville farmers market downtown, First Sunday Midwest Bazaar in Petersburg, or weekly delivery to Springfield on Tuesdays.
